As a business, our “Say It With Kay” team realized the importance of giving back to the community. We believe and know we can impact this beautiful country and are ready to proceed.
Our first empowerment project was directed towards the Taman Fioreti Orphanage, in Bekasi. Taman Fioreti Orphanage is a catholic orphanage that houses nearly 70 children from a range of age groups. These children are in desperate need of certain school supplies and necessities, one of which included school shoes.
The profits received from previous bouquets sponsored 70 pairs of black sneakers that we donated to the orphanage. However, we also believe that “giving back to the community” includes building their confidence and pride in themselves. Therefore, each pair of sneakers was carefully selected and packaged in the most elegant manner. Each pair of shoes was, therefore “tailored” to a specific child, thus, making this child feel more special. We also enjoyed our visit to the Taman Fioreti Orphanage tremendously. By talking, playing and painting together we were able to build relationships with the children.
We experienced incredible joy and appreciation for the love and care brought by this initiative. Our first empowerment project was a resounding success and motivated us to move forward, to focus on more communities and organizations we can support!
